  • Premier Aviation appoints Federica Nazzani as its Vice President, Business Development
    Trois-Rivières, Quebec


    President and CEO, Ronnie Di Bartolo is pleased to announce that Federica Nazzani will be joining Premier Aviation Overhaul Centre as its Vice President, Business Development effective immediately. Most recently, Ms. Nazzani held the role of President and CEO of the Windsor International Airport during a highly successful six-year tenure which was marked by an exceptionally strong customer and commercial focus.

    Mr. Di Bartolo says, “Ms. Nazzani brings a wealth of knowledge in strategic and corporate development, finance and government relations. Over the past 20 years, Ms. Nazzani has established a proven track record for continuous improvement and financial growth; she will bring her demonstrated passion and managerial skills to build on Premier’s success and strengthen its competitive and financial position in the marketplace.”

    Until December 2012, Ms. Nazzani served as vice-chairperson of Small Airport Caucus of the Canadian Airport’s Council during her 4-year term as a member of the Airport’s Council International (ACI) Canada Board of Directors. Additionally, she has extensive Board governance experience over the past seven (7) years as a former Board Director for Windsor Essex Regional Chamber, Windsor Family Credit Union, Enwin Energy and Windsor Utilities Commission. Federica is both a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Business Valuator and has an Honours Bachelor of Arts and a Masters of Accountancy from the University of Waterloo.

  • Premier Aviation announces expanded paint services in New York State
    Premier Aviation Ltd. Rome, New York: The successful completion of 15 aircraft paint projects on Boeing, Airbus and Embraer aircraft emphasises the capabilities at Premier’s Rome facility. The 50,000 sq. ft. paint facility has been in full operation since August 2012 and is ready tomeet the industry needs supporting both their heavy airframe maintenance customers as well as those requiring only aircraft paint. The facility is state-of-the-art environmentally, fully equipped and able to fulfill paint requirements on any regional or narrow-body and most large wide-body aircraft. The central location in New York reduces indirect costs related to ferry flights. Cost saving combined with Premier’s airframe heavy maintenance capabilities and competitive pricing, provides a great solution for customers.

    With facilities in both Canada and the USA, Premier can accommodate any customer’s schedule at short notice. Further, strong maintenance capabilities in all Premier paint facilities make the paint process a low risk event.

    Whether it’s an aircraft heavy overhaul, an aircraft modification program or the fulfillment of aircraft paint requirements; Premier is in the unique position to handle the aviation community’s needs.

  • Premier Windsor welcomes its first ATR72 for heavy maintenance
    Following its success with Dash 8s and ATR42s, Premier Windsor continues the trend with the induction of its First ATR72 for heavy maintenance. Since its September 2012 opening, Premier's brand new Windsor facility has been making a name for itself and attracted quality personnel to its workforce.

  • More B767 heavy maintenance at Premier in Rome
    After a second half of 2012 filled largely with Airbus, our Rome facility welcomed the first of several B767 heavy visits during the first half of 2013.

  • Premier Trois-Rivieres – North America’s only independent source for E-175/190 airframe heavy maintenance
    With some 16 heavy maintenance visits under their belt, Premier’s Trois-Rivieres team has established itself as a recognized source for E-175/190 heavy maintenance.

  • Added Capacity, Flexibility, Availability and Locations
    Premier’s expansion over the past few years has not only added to our capacity and flexibility but it benefits our clients and our employees as well. Our increased size now allows us to assure our contracted customers slot availability, as their fleets grow as well as offers a choice of locations. Our larger MRO footprint gives our employee stakeholders increased job security and a wider variety of opportunities, within both the organization and North America.

  • Premier Aviation becomes the largest airframe MRO in Canada!
    Premier’s latest expansion project is now complete. Our Windsor, Ontario facility (YQG) has its AMO and has just received its second heavy maintenance aircraft. The first aircraft in-house was re-delivered to our customer four days earlier than planned. Now, that’s getting started on the right foot.

  • Premier Trois-Rivières (YRQ) facility has now seen some 8 E-175/190 aircraft re-delivered as part of its long-term agreement with Air Canada. As one of the few Embraer facilities in North America, Premier is looking forward to a long future, as an Embraer service center.

  • Having both of Canada’s largest operators under long-term heavy maintenance agreements means exciting times for Premier Trois- Rivières (YRQ) and underscores the commitment Premier has to quality and cost-effectiveness.

  • Premier Rome (RME) spent a busy summer with 1 and sometimes 2 lines of narrow-body Airbus aircraft. Adding to this activity, 2 lines of aircraft paint are now operational.

  • Premier Rome (RME) is pleased to announce in-house NDT capability. Having this highly specialized skill in-house adds to Premier’s cost-effectiveness and efficiency – both being important benefits for our customers

  • Premier Aviation exhibits at MRO Europe for the first time. Having attended various MRO Conferences throughout North America and considering the number of European aircraft in seasonal operation in North America, MRO Europe gives us the opportunity to introduce Premier to a variety of European operators and lessors.

  • Premier Aviation YRQ celebrates 10 years in MRO
    The 10th Anniversary Open House held for friends and family of employees on Sunday October 28th, was a terrific success. The event was well attended by 304 people. The smiling faces of employees and their families as they toured through the facility accurately reflects the pride we all feel in being part of the Premier Aviation family. Ten years in MRO is definitely an accomplishment!

  • Premier completes its fifth B737NG paint for WestJet, using a revolutionary new paint product and procedure.
  • Premier launches a new contract with Jazz Aviation for a new livery and new paint process on the Jazz Aviation fleet of Dash 8 and CRJ aircraft.
  • Premier announces the signing of an agreement covering major heavy maintenance on a number of B767-300 aircraft.
  • Premier announces a 5-year renewal of its long-term partnership with WestJet.

  • Premier completes the Strip & Paint of Air Canada’s first three (3) A320-Family aircraft, using Air Canada’s recently revised process and products, forecast to provide operational and financial benefits to the airline.

  • Premier Trois-Rivieres joins its partners at Premier in Rome New York with introduction of Airbus A320-Family heavy maintenance.

  • Premier's Rome New York team provided much needed assistance and hangar space for two (2) operators within the past 2 weeks. Souther Air or Norwalk CT placed a B747 in our facility and Lynden Air Cargo of Anchorage AK diverted a C130 into Rome (RME) while en route from Greenland. The size and capacity of our Rome facility and the flexibility of the Premier team were much appreciated by both operators and are a standard offering from Premier Aviation.

  • Premier Aviation, which launched two major expansions on the last two months, in Rome, N.Y., and Windsor, Ont., in addition to tripling its home operations in Trois Rivières, has contracts with Canadian North and other northern and regional operators in Canada. It also does sub-contract work for Aveos. Steve Hankirk, Canadian North's Vice President Operations, as part of a larger interview, stated: "Premier Aviation handles 25 per cent of our Boeing B737 work, in addition to 100 per cent of the Dash-8 work."
